Ingredients
  

Steak and Salad Base
  • 1 lb flank steak or sirloin
  • 6 cups mixed salad greens such as arugula, spinach, and romaine
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes halved
  • 1 cucumber sliced
  • 1 avocado sliced
  • 1/2 cup red onion thinly sliced
Dressing
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 clove garlic minced

Method
 

Prepare the Steak
  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  2. Season the flank steak with salt and pepper.
  3. Grill the steak for about 5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness.
  4. Remove from grill and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
Assemble the Salad
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the mixed greens, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, avocado, and red onion.
  2. Slice the grilled steak against the grain and add it to the salad.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the olive oil, balsamic vinegar, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, salt, and pepper.
  4. Drizzle the dressing over the salad and toss gently to combine.
