Ingredients
  

Chicken Wings
  • 2 pounds chicken wings split into flats and drumettes
Pineapple Cowboy Candy Sauce
  • 1 cup pineapple juice fresh or canned
  • 1 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons sriracha adjust for spice preference
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Method
 

Prepare the Chicken Wings
  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  2. In a mixing bowl, season the chicken wings with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
Make the Sauce
  1. In a saucepan, combine pineapple juice, brown sugar, honey, apple cider vinegar, sriracha, and bring to a simmer over medium heat.
  2. Cook for about 10 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
Grill the Wings
  1. Place the seasoned chicken wings on the grill and cook for about 20-25 minutes, turning occasionally.
  2. Use a meat thermometer to ensure the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
Glaze and Serve
  1. During the last 5 minutes of grilling, brush the wings with the pineapple cowboy candy sauce.
  2. Remove from grill, let rest for a few minutes, then serve with extra sauce on the side.
