Ingredients
  

Dough
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk warm
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
Caramel Sauce
  • 1 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1/2 cup butter unsalted
  • 1/4 cup corn syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Filling
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup butter softened

Method
 

Prepare the Dough
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine warm milk and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add melted butter, sugar, egg, and salt to the yeast mixture. Mix well.
  3. Gradually add flour, mixing until a soft dough forms. Knead for about 5 minutes until smooth.
  4. Cover the bowl with a cloth and let the dough rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
Make the Caramel Sauce
  1. In a saucepan, combine brown sugar, butter, and corn syrup. Cook over medium heat until melted and smooth.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract. Pour the caramel sauce into a greased baking dish.
Assemble the Rolls
  1. Roll out the dough on a floured surface into a rectangle.
  2. Spread softened butter over the dough, then sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon.
  3. Roll the dough tightly and cut into 1-inch pieces. Place the rolls in the baking dish over the caramel sauce.
  4. Cover and let rise for another 30 minutes.
Bake the Rolls
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Bake the rolls for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
  3. Let cool for a few minutes before inverting onto a serving platter.
