Ingredients
  

Pizza Dough
  • 2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 packet Active dry yeast
  • 1 cup Warm water
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
Toppings
  • 8 ounces Mushrooms (cremini or button)
  • 1 large Onion
  • 1 cup Mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh thyme or rosemary
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 1 can Crushed tomatoes

Method
 

Pizza Preparation
  1. Preheat oven according to your pizza dough instructions.
  2. In a bowl, mix warm water and active dry yeast; let it sit until frothy.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine all-purpose flour and salt.
  4. Stir yeast mixture and olive oil into the flour mixture; knead until smooth.
  5. Cover the dough and let it rise until doubled in size.
  6. In a pan, heat olive oil and sauté minced garlic, then add onions and cook until caramelized.
  7. Add mushrooms to the pan and sauté until golden.
  8. Roll out the dough on a floured surface and place on a pizza stone or baking sheet.
  9. Spread crushed tomatoes over the dough.
  10. Top with the sautéed onion and mushroom mixture, then sprinkle with mozzarella and parmesan cheese.
  11. Add fresh thyme or rosemary on top.
  12. Bake in the preheated oven until the cheese is bubbly and crust is golden.
