Ingredients
  

Beef Patties
  • 1 pound Ground Beef 80/20 lean-to-fat ratio recommended
  • 1 teaspoon Salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder optional
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder optional
Toppings
  • 4 slices Cheese American or Cheddar
  • 4 buns Hamburger Buns toasted
  • 1 cup Lettuce shredded
  • 1 tomato Tomato sliced
  • 1/2 cup Pickles sliced
  • 1/4 cup Ketchup to taste
  • 1/4 cup Mustard to taste

Method
 

Prepare the Patties
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently until just combined.
  2. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into patties, making a slight indentation in the center of each patty.
Cook the Patties
  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Place the patties on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C).
  2. During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheese on each patty to melt.
Assemble the Burgers
  1. Toast the hamburger buns on the grill until golden brown.
  2. Assemble the burgers by placing the cooked patties on the bottom half of each bun. Top with lettuce, tomato, pickles, ketchup, and mustard. Cover with the top half of the bun.
