Ingredients
  

Pasta
  • 12 oz spaghetti or any pasta of choice
Sauce
  • 2 tbsp olive oil for sautéing
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 can crushed tomatoes 28 oz
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp salt to taste
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil chopped, for garnish

Method
 

Cook Spaghetti
  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
  2. Drain the spaghetti in a colander and set aside.
Prepare Sauce
  1. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  2. Add crushed tomatoes, oregano, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Combine and Serve
  1. Add the cooked spaghetti to the sauce and toss to coat evenly.
  2. Serve hot, garnished with fresh basil.
