- In a medium-sized mixing bowl, pour the buttermilk. Add the sour cream and mayonnaise to the bowl.
- Mix the buttermilk, sour cream, and mayonnaise until the mixture is smooth and the ingredients are fully integrated.
- Incorporate the minced garlic into the mixture. Follow with the freshly chopped parsley, dill, and chives. Stir these in to distribute evenly throughout the dressing.
- Sprinkle the salt and a dash of black pepper over the mixture. Stir well to combine all the ingredients.
- Taste the dressing to check the balance of flavors. Adjust the seasoning, adding more salt or pepper to suit your taste.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or transfer it to a jar with a tight-fitting lid and place it in the refrigerator to chill for at least one hour.
- After chilling, give the dressing a good stir or shake (if in a jar) to ensure any settled ingredients are mixed back in.
- Enjoy your homemade Longhorn Ranch Dressing over salads, as a vegetable dip, or as a condiment for sandwiches and burgers.
