Ingredients
  

  • 1 sheet frozen puff pastry thawed
  • 4 oz thinly sliced prosciutto
  • 4 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup fresh basil leaves or spinach

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a floured surface until smooth.
  3. In a bowl, mix cream cheese with shredded mozzarella and spread evenly over the puff pastry.
  4. Layer sliced prosciutto and fresh basil over the cheesy mixture. Roll tightly from one side to another.
  5. Slice the rolled pastry into 1-inch thick pinwheels and place them cut-side up on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Brush each pinwheel with beaten egg for a golden finish. Bake for 15-20 minutes until puffed and golden brown.
