Ingredients
  

Cheese
  • 12 count Mozzarella string cheese Cut into smaller pieces if desired.
Breading
  • 2 cups Panko Bread Crumbs
  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon parsley
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
Frying
  • Oil for frying
  • Marinara Sauce Homemade or store bought.

Method
 

Preparation and Cooking
  1. Cut the Mozzarella string cheese into smaller pieces if desired.
  2. Set up a breading station with three bowls: one for the flour, one for the milk, and one for the panko bread crumbs mixed with Italian seasoning and parsley.
  3. Dip each piece of cheese into the flour, then into the milk, and finally coat with the panko mixture.
  4. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  5. Fry the breaded cheese pieces until golden brown on all sides, about 5 minutes.
  6. Remove from the oil and drain on paper towels.
  7. Serve hot with marinara sauce.

Notes

Feel free to swap out mozzarella for cheddar or pepper jack for a kick. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days. Reheat in the oven at 350°F until crispy again, about 10 minutes.
