Potato Chips
  • 4 medium Russet potatoes Sliced thinly
  • 2 cups Vegetable oil For frying
  • 1 tablespoon Sea salt For seasoning
  • 1 cup Water For brine
  • 1/2 cup White vinegar For brine
  • 1 tablespoon Granulated sugar For brine
  • 2 tablespoons Dill weed For brine
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder For brine
  • 1 teaspoon Black peppercorns For brine

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. Slice the Russet potatoes thinly.
  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a deep pan over medium heat.
  3. Prepare the brine by mixing water, white vinegar, granulated sugar, dill weed, garlic powder, sea salt, and black peppercorns in a bowl.
  4. Soak the potato slices in the brine for at least 15 minutes.
  5. Remove the potato slices and drain them well.
  6. Fry the potato slices in the hot oil until golden and crispy.
  7. Remove the chips from the oil and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil.
  8. Season with additional sea salt if desired.
