Ingredients

  • 2 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons loose Earl Grey tea
  • 1 tablespoon dried cherries
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • fresh cherries for topping

Equipment

  • Kettle
  • fine mesh strainer
  • Saucepan
  • whisk

Method

  1. Start by bringing 2 cups of water to a rolling boil in a kettle.
  2. Once the water is boiling, remove it from heat and add 2 tablespoons of Earl Grey tea leaves. Let it steep for about 5 minutes.
  3. After steeping, stir in 1 cup of pitted and halved fresh cherries. Allow them to simmer gently in the tea for another 5 minutes.
  4. Carefully pour the mixture through a fine mesh strainer into a large bowl or pitcher.
  5. In another saucepan, heat 1 cup of milk over medium-low heat until warm but not boiling. Gradually whisk in the strained tea infusion until well combined.
  6. Pour your Cherry Earl Grey Milk Tea into mugs and enjoy while it's warm! You can garnish with a few whole cherries on top for an extra touch of elegance.

For a unique twist, consider swapping dried cherries for cranberries or apricots, and try different milk types like almond or oat milk.
