Carne Asada

Ingredients
  

Marinade
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1/4 cup lime juice
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon cumin
  • 1 tablespoon oregano
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 pounds flank steak or skirt steak
Toppings
  • 1 cup chopped cilantro
  • 1 cup diced onion
  • 1 cup sliced radishes
  • 1 cup lime wedges

Method
 

Marinate the Steak
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine orange juice, lime juice, soy sauce, minced garlic, cumin, oregano, black pepper, and salt. Mix well.
  2. Place the flank steak in a resealable plastic bag and pour the marinade over it. Seal the bag and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight.
Grill the Steak
  1. Preheat the grill to high heat.
  2. Remove the steak from the marinade and discard the marinade. Grill the steak for about 5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness.
  3. Let the steak rest for 5 minutes before slicing against the grain.
Serve
  1. Serve the sliced carne asada with chopped cilantro, diced onion, sliced radishes, and lime wedges on the side.
