Ingredients
  

Apples
  • 2 medium apples preferably Granny Smith or Honeycrisp
Caramel Sauce
  • 1 cup caramel sauce store-bought or homemade
Toppings
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts optional, such as peanuts or almonds
  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips optional
  • 1/4 cup sprinkles optional

Method
 

Prepare the Apples
  1. Wash and dry the apples. Remove the core and slice them into wedges.
Melt the Caramel
  1. In a saucepan over low heat, warm the caramel sauce until it is smooth and pourable.
Dip the Apple Slices
  1. Dip each apple slice into the melted caramel, allowing the excess to drip off.
Add Toppings
  1. Sprinkle the chopped nuts, chocolate chips, or sprinkles on the caramel-coated apple slices before the caramel sets.
Set and Serve
  1. Place the caramel apple slices on a parchment-lined tray and let them cool until the caramel hardens. Serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to serve.
