Ingredients
  

Filling
  • 2 cups fresh blueberries or frozen, thawed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar adjust based on sweetness preference
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch for thickening
Topping
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter melted

Method
 

Prepare the Filling
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the blueberries, sugar, lemon juice, and cornstarch. Toss gently to coat the blueberries.
  3. Pour the blueberry mixture into a greased baking dish.
Make the Topping
  1. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
  2. Add the milk and melted butter to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  3. Spoon the topping mixture over the blueberry filling, spreading it evenly.
Bake
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  2. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
