Ingredients
  

Pasta
  • 12 oz Ziti pasta or any short pasta
Sauce
  • 4 cups Marinara sauce store-bought or homemade
Cheese
  • 2 cups Ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups Shredded mozzarella cheese plus extra for topping
  • 1 cup Grated Parmesan cheese
Seasoning
  • 1 tsp Dried oregano
  • 1 tsp Dried basil
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Salt to taste
  • 1/2 tsp Black pepper to taste
Fresh herbs
  • 1/4 cup Fresh parsley chopped, for garnish

Method
 

Prepare the pasta
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Cook the ziti pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Mix the ingredients
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked pasta, marinara sauce, ricotta cheese, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, oregano, basil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
Assemble the dish
  1. Transfer the pasta mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish. Spread evenly and top with additional mozzarella cheese.
Bake
  1. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
Serve
  1. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
