Ingredients
  

Pasta
  • 12 oz Ziti pasta Or any other short pasta
Sauce
  • 2 cups Marinara sauce Store-bought or homemade
Cheese
  • 1 cup Ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups Mozzarella cheese Shredded
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese Grated
Seasonings
  • 1 teaspoon Dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon Dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black pepper
Others
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil For greasing the baking dish

Method
 

Prepare the Pasta
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the ziti pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Mix the Ingredients
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked pasta, marinara sauce, ricotta cheese, half of the mozzarella cheese, oregano, basil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
Assemble the Dish
  1. Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with olive oil.
  2. Spread half of the pasta mixture in the baking dish. Sprinkle with half of the remaining mozzarella cheese.
  3. Layer the remaining pasta mixture on top and finish with the rest of the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
Bake
  1. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes.
  2. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
Serve
  1. Let the baked ziti cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!
